- experience: played a bunch with Sleeping Giants clan (really nice bunch, them) about 10 years ago. Been on Western Grizzlies about 5 months or so. Tend to enjoy engineer and sniper roles, although I have recently done quite well at field ops.

Request: Can you stop the server from pushing out etl_bin_v2.76.pk3 on connection? I recently upgraded my copy of ubuntu and had to opt for the git-compiled version of et:L because the stock version of ui.mp.x86_64.so makes a bad library call and crashes et. Having got it working, I found that western grizzlies pushes down the aforementioned pk3 file and clobbers my git version with the bad old copy and et:L crashes again. Devs are saying wait for 2.77 where it's fixed (apparently only the Muppet something server is the only one that doesn't do this annoying thing), but I thought I would drop in a request to the sysop, just in case.

Hey there, ya you definitely have global messages off. Change it in your view options. The server had to be reset to install an update.
