I play day of defeat on a semi regular basis. What a great nostalgic game. Typically I'm on the SAC servers. The other night I joined an ARP server and started playing. There was a woman who was very vocal, the typical chatter in game. At one point I felt her direction and comments were getting a bit much. After a player was ridiculed enough, I typed in the game chat "please, just stop."
A gentleman quickly, and aggressively told me "foolishways, you are a guest here, and she is an admin. I recommend you keep your mouth shut."
It was very aggressive and forward. I thought about responding with some sort of "why so angry, I wasn't trying to be a jerk to anyone." but decided against it and didn't say anything further. I went on with my play.
Only a couple of minutes later, immediately after shooting a "lady squirrel" I think (don't quite remember the tag)? I was "banned for cheating." I quickly wondered if she was the one that was talking when I was confronted. I had an in game KD ratio of 14 and 4 or something, and I know I killed her a few of times in a row.
Was this a salty ban? I'm not a cheater. I was having a good game, I was not toxic, when confronted on something I do not feel I was a jerk about, I still just kept quiet so as to not ruffle feathers.
