Forum and private messaging policy:

All users of the forums are required to abide by these rules. Additional ideas to keep the forums clean are welcome. Users are free to challenge any of these rules with the current forum moderator.

Rules:

1. Post only in English to have a common language in the community. If like many of our members, your first language is not English, then you must use a translator such as http://translate.google.com/# and mention that one has been used. If you need to post in a different language for some reason, also include a translation of your post in English in parentheses. Posts that do not follow this rule will be deleted and the person notified. Subsequent posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

2. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum or thread. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting and look for relevant threads. If for example you want to suggest new maps, there is a thread to do that in Content Discussion. If you are unsure as to where to post your new topic, post it in General Discussion and mention that you were not sure so that we can move your topic to the relevant forum. Posts not in the right forum will be moved and the person warned. Subsequent posts in the wrong forum will be deleted without notice or warning.

3. If you would like to see a new thread added, please contact the current forum moderator. Do not post this in the forum. Such posts will be deleted without warning or notification and your request will be ignored.

4. Users must post in a way that is respectful of other users and reflects our clan values http://www.gametracker.com/clan/feartrix/forum.php?thread=27295. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated. The person violating this rule will be asked to apologise and correct his/her post and a warning issued. Failure to do so will lead to the post being deleted. Subsequent posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

5. Posting of pornographic content, text, images, links, etc. that would be widely considered offensive is inappropriate. Such posts will be deleted and the person warned. Subsequent posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

6. Users are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Posting about illegal material (cracks, warez etc.) is unacceptable and opens the door to a legal attack towards our clan. Such posts will be deleted and the person warned. Subsequent posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

7. Users must not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not shout or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. The user violating this rule will be asked to modify his post and a warning given. Failure to do so will lead to the post being deleted. Subsequent posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

8. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "I cannot join the MAX server", "My x-fire crashes when I join FEAR", etc. Such posts will be renamed to something meaningful and a warning given. After several violations the posts will be deleted without notice or warning.

9. Spam, advertising and recruiting on our forums is prohibited. Such posts will be deleted without notice or warning.
