I'll move it here, so Foibos can close the other thread.

Do you use it? I love it. Can't wait to get my hands on final 3.5.

Which add-ons are you using?

And kill all IE-Users!

I use the following add-ons:

Adblock Plus: Never ever see any promotion on the web. It will also increase your speed while browsing, since the promotion doesn't need to be loaded. (The link will hopefully turn into your language, if you click it, otherwise delete the "/de" in between.
For the add-on working you need to choose a filter-abonnement (it doesn't cost something ). You'll see a window where you can choose one, after you installed it.

DownThemAll!: Download-manager, which can increase the speed of downloading a lot (I use only 4 times as fast, since my connection isn't the fastest). The way of doing this is, that if you download a file with it, the programm will start 3 (or more, you can configure it) more simultaneously downloads of the file (if the server you are downloading from allows multiple connections from one IP), but all from different parts of the file. In the end those parts will be put together and you have the file downloaded really fast.

DownloadHelper: This adds a symbol to the upper bar. Whenever a video is played on the web (on almost any site), you can download it by clicking that symbol (it's animated, if there is a media available). Very helpful on sites, that don't support video-download natively.

Spellchecking
: Download the dictionary of the language you want. Every time you can write a text the way it happens in this forum, you will get underlined like in Word, if you write something wrong. You can change the language of the dictionary with a right-click on the text-window, if you have multiple installed.

Flagfox: Shows you with a flag the country in which the web-server you are browsing is situated (Wikipedia is for example in Netherlands). In the preferences you can set the position of the flag. Default is the adress-bar, I have mine in the lower right corner.

Greasemonkey: The add-on itself can't do things, but it allows you to use custom userscripts on webpages to add new functionality. One example of a script is this very useful one for YouTube, which I am using: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/13333
Install Greasemonkey first and then install the script.
To find more scripts, you can install this add-on too: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/8352

I'll also post uncommented these:
NoScript (needs to be taken on the hand often, can be annoying, but safe)

Tab Mix Plus (adds more functionality to tabbed browsing, such as open closed tabs again and many more featrues to configure)

Autopager (loads automatically the next page, if you reach the end of a site, for example google-results or pages on forums)

So you need them all.

Seriously, take at least ad-block plus. It's the most necessary thing in Firefox.

And you couldn't switch to IE8 then and use those mods there?

Besides the security it should also increase the performance during browsing… I also can't understand why the old FF 2.x is still supported.

Download Statusbar: Never see you download manager window again.
FireGestures: Draw to control.
Forecastfox: Rainy day, dream away. UT on.
IE Tab: To survive some pages made by IE fans.
Image Toolbar: Why to rightclick?
Tabs Open Relative: Not in the end of the tabs bar.
Undo Closed Tabs Button: For absent-minded users.
text/plain: Open links that aren't links easily.
pastego: Button to insert & load link, another for search bar too.
Copy plain text: Without formatting.
SecurePassword Generator: Why to always think up new passwords.

I love the new 3.5.

And I found some new add-ons, that might be good, but I first have to test it.

@ Foibos: Undo closed tabs is also integrated in Tab Mix Plus.

Though there is no version currently available of it, that works with Firefox 3.5. I think this time it really needs to be redone as some of it's features are now native parts of Firefox.
