Of course that this thread isn't pointless, we're sharing here our embarrassing screenshots on one place, not fragmented in our profiles. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

It's pointless in the sense that ppl playing on TechCom have had profiles with GT for 8-9 months now; whatever UT-related pics they've had that could be interesting they had plenty of time to upload and comment on, no?

As far as "don't watch it" goes, you posted it here, not some other random place on the internet. I'm a member of this msg board and I check it daily, so if something is posted here, I'm going to watch it and if I have an opinion on it, you can bet I'll let you know about it. Instead of mincing words or pretending to look the other way, however, I'm suggesting something better. What's the problem with that?

yes foibos added some interesting pictures. i have none of that class. i've postet only the stuff i'd made, and if it's unfit for this thread, it will be erased (hopefully like this comment). i don't mind, i'll post smth much better when i will have some, or when i'll get the ideea. until then, u have to know, that, IMHO, maybe u are a bit out of the average target of interest (no offence - in fact u r upper-ten - fu).

since the only posted pictures are these, and it is something like "family stuff", most players will be glad to watch it.

Ok, this thread is dedicated to uncommon screenshots and stories (initial post changed). Centralising the most interesting pictures is imo good idea. Peg, I don't want to waste the space here with debate about it's sense, although I see you love to discuss about everything. Btw, I don't see any criticism except the yours.

That's why I was asking for a seperate sub-forum for other games than UT.

For example you could make a screenshot-thread there, where you could show some good screenshots from the uncrealizable amount of other games out there, not only UT.

I have seen such a thread in another forum and the result was quite impressive. For example beautiful screenshots of Stalker with a modification to the sky, which was just impressive.
Or other beautiful pictures from Half-Life 2 with Cinematic-mod.
Another guy took many screenshots from a game in Hearts of Iron 2, posted them and made with his comments a great connected story about how he tried to conquer là France with Germany, was pushed back, got help from Italy and made it. Simple pictures of usual gameplay made to a nice story.

That's what you could made, but please give us a forum for more than UT. I have plenty of other topics, but I don't want to post them in Offtopic or here.

Hunt, that was the problem IMO; from everyone's profiles that I checked nobody - including myself - seemed to have anything as spectacular as what Foibos initially posted (lightshows, impressive fireworks, multiple deaths, all at the same time), so I was just concerned this would end up filled with casual-type pics, i.e a thread not honouring its title. I did't mean to suggest by it that I'm somehow better than anyone in taste/style or anything.

Anyway, fine, I'm sorry for the long debate there, I'll try to reserve judgement till we have enough to go on; let Foibos do the post cleanup he mentioned and let's see where this goes...

Elect, you mean Bender on the tree? I suppose it was empty, but how could it get there - big question) Noone touched it!

pegasus_ IMO idea of this topic is good, even if here will be not very impressive pics they could be interesing cause they could remaind some memorable moments of game with fourm and server members involved. That makes all these pics much more valuable We just should try not to spam tons of screenshots.
Anyway, it's too early for criticism )
