Background music?

Do you guys have background music on when playing? I usually listen to an internet radiostation or the game music, or nothing at all. How about the rest? Or does BGM distract you?

i think static-x is nice to listem when i'm unreal tournamenting . i'd like to play a map with "static-x - machine" playin` in the background =)

I always play with the ingame music only. Sounds seems to be the most negligible thing in a map, but in fact you only notice it, when it's missing.

Drum and bass, Jungle, Electro, and Trance when playing. And you?

But this one is more about players' habits concerning music

I only listen to ingame music, to be more accurate, I never use the F11 thing, I only listen to the music of the map ^^ And if map has no music then map has no music.

You know, even if you don't use the ingame music player to listen to your own custom playlists, there are a couple of uses for it that are still helpful such as being able to change the music volume on the fly (if a situation in the house calls for it) or bringing it up, pressing play, then stop to force a particularly annoying level music to shut up so you can enjoy your ONS match in quiet. There's probably a console command for that too, but I've never come across any multimedia-related list of those for U2004.

The most annoying bug to me is, that if you change your audio device in the options while playing, you get punished with the default menu-track instead of the levelmusic. And I sometimes need to change my audio device because EAX mutes VoIP.

Try:
set ALAudioSubsystem MusicVolume 0

1 should be max volume so 0.5 to set it at 50%
