When I click on a topic and it puts me to the last page and then I click on an other page, instead of putting me on the page I clicked, it just refreshes the page
![]() This is a very bad bug because if you miss a post then you can't look it. Maybe it's for every topic, but maybe just for some... Would be good if this would be fixed as soon as possible.

Sometimes the forum is also not available (Error 500).
But that and this bug might be signs, that they are doing some changes on the forum and maybe work on the requested features. ![]() |

Actually they've been working on improving and adding new features to GT's msg board and PM handling code since late last month, I think. Soon after I noticed some of them going into effect (the PM-related updates most notably), I made a comment about 'em here to let ppl know - in retrospect perhaps it wasn't the best place to post it for ppl to notice though (also, one bug I mentioned at the end of that comment seems to've been fixed since then).
Anyway, since a few bugs seem to've crept in along with all the new changes and a GT admin (mike) even took the time to post an update to our msg board improvements thread, maybe we should make an effort to describe any problems we come across as best we can so they'll start working on 'em too. I plan to make a post soon about a few kinks I've noticed myself. About this specific problem, it only happens if you're trying to jump to a recently updated thread's last post directly from the "Recent Forum Posts" section at the clan's GT homepage - the requested url references the most recent post.id instead of the thread.id # and the new php code seems to build the thread html (and the previous pages links in it at the bottom) differently in each case, so the same page data keep getting retrieving in one case and, instead, are handled properly in the other. If you navigate there step by step, however (access the msg board index first, then the specific forum, thread and page), everything works as it should, so Jancsi's description of the bug seems a bit off the way it's currently phrased. |
