Hello everybody,

I need help with my UT2004. Here in Czech republic it is nearly impossible to buy now English version if this game, so I have Czech translation. But it means, that some of UT system files are different from the English version, and many online servers NEED english version, otherwise the UT crash and tell me "Font version is not compatible". So I cant play about 20% of maps on Techcom, and about 90% maps of other good servers like Omni...

I have searched web and found, that I need following list of files to make the UT English:

All should be located in Textures folder. Could anybody compress and upload these files (english) anywhere so I could use them ?

Thanks for a try, but I am afraid these files are corrupted somehow ? I tried them but UT crashes immediatelly in the menu.

In example, my 2k4Fonts.utx if about 9mB, your file is 75kB...

2k4Fonts_kot.utx mine has 17mB, yours 550 kB.

Others file are same. Sure, there will be some size difference because of language, but not this huge, I think )

I checked my files and they are also different than your's.

my 2k4Fonts.utx is 3.6MB

3.6mB is correct size for english file, at least thats what I found on the web. Could you compress the above files for me ? I cant use torrents

It works, but not as much as expected

Now I can join any online server without a problem, so the font problem is solved, but I have about half of texts in Czech and second half in English. I can live with it, but the Czech special symbols are not in there (ěščřžýáíé) and instead of them there are some scrambled signs, so it looks very ugly.

Anybody has an idea in which file the main menu texts and ingame texts are stored, so which file overwrite to make it completely English ?

How is the Czech version different from the international one? Are the no .int-files in the "System"-folder? You usually just need to change language to INT in the UT2004.ini

Maybe someone should send you all INT-files and you set INT in your INI then…

And maybe the links here should be deleted afterwards due to reasons of legality.



And one could also try to get it from other countries or per Amazon and Ebay.

The UT2004.INI file was the first thing I checked before I made this topic. But there already is INT setting, so nothing to change there.

But the .INT files sounds good. I have checked few of these files and its exactly what I need - it is translated texts.

So, VK, may I bother you once again ? Could you please compress all the .INT files from SYSTEM folder ? It is about 80 of them there Thanks.
