I just tried playing on the server. ONS-CataldiPark-EONS-Editon-V1 is on and apparently the file is broken on the redirect. It downloaded quickly, then started downloading again at 0%, but slowly. (i.e. from the server not the redirect)
Anyone care to fix? |

Hi, I had recently the same issue with another map. For fixing it, I've deleted the whole redirect and created it again, but apparently it hasn't helped. What can be wrong?

It's not about the redirect itself I guess. I've tried the http://uz2.ut-files.com/ redirect and the problem remained, the map is downloaded from redirect server and than it starts downloading again from server (tested on Minus-ECE). But some maps (tested on SPAMBOX, Urban-NoLevi) won't start downloading again from server and are correctly loaded immediately after redirect download.
It seems the server won't approve the map downloaded from redirect and force new download from itself (maybe the server initially just approve the redirect download if the file size and name is what it expects, but after redirect download the server see it's a different file). But after the slow server download reaches 100 %, the map isn't loaded, but the download continues with 101, 102 ... i. e. 253 % and than is the map loaded. I've loaded the 2 months old backup of the server and it doesn't work too, although it worked in the past. Edit: I've solved it temporarily. The redirect files seem to be broken, now the redirect server is running on game machine and it's ok. Maybe the FTP transfer corrupted them. Edit: Solved definitely. The FTP client I used probably corrupted the files somehow. I've reuploaded all of them again using another client and it does work. Sorry for the troubles & have fun!

Ah, the FTP client. Make sure you always upload files in binary mode. ASCII mode alters files and really only is a hack to achieve (questionable) linebreak compatibility between Windows and Unix-based systems.

There is something strange happening with the old redirect, that's why I've started a new one. Should be ok now, let me know if not.
