I know the Gametracker is almost untouched at this point and that there isn't too much practically to using it, but I'm a nerd and like to see these things used, so I was just wondering if we could try and use this at all.

GameTracker's core ministrative provision(s) is centered on server tracking and reporting historical and/or statistical data.
However, with the addition of team pages the site is generally known as a fully stable gamer social platform. Over the years of using it for team page management as a community user; there are possible vicissitudes but in the near future; we shall hope to see promising updates from the development team. ![]()

Wasn't expecting a reply from someone not at least in the team, I don't see too much that the Gametracker can be used for myself besides Server rankings at the moment but its promising to see the Development team for Gametracker still wants to update these things and make it nicer for everyone

Indeed by essence GameTracker is centered on server data-feeds; as per say, an example; server rankings.
In 2008, Mike announced that the development team added more features that include gamer nicknames, clans (team pages) and such. Reference - News page (19th) Update | 2008 The GT lite client is one of those things that is primarily popular for tracking game-time for users; currently it is outdated and i'm sure that with all the recent additions like Dark and Light, Battalion 1944 and such; a future update is required. Many fail to fathom how to request game support and usually that is why you won't see as much newer games being supported until requested correctly. As an example of this - Dark and Light Support & Battalion 1944 Support. Generally, i've made a few ideas and requests that have not been given attention as yet since many don't know that it is required that you "+1" an idea in order for implementation. Nonetheless, as time progresses, the developers will of course check these requests - and certainly, if a viable change has been made, it'll show up in the news page. ![]()

ledwig wrote: Just saw this: I personally really enjoy the services GameTracker provides, in terms of server query, ranking, hours, etc. Team pages, as well as profiles, are dwarfed by Steam and other competitors in terms of both the number of users as well as features provided. I'll probably update the Tango page eventually, but until then it will most likely remain how it is: simply a page to link to our main website where, if they have a problem, they may post it there. I've got a good number of suggestions for the Gametracker team, if they were to add me on Steam I'd be able to expand upon. But until then, it will remain what it is: an awesome query service. |
