I want to let everyone know WAY ahead of time before I do this.

Originally, I wanted the servers to be for custom campaigns only. But this has proven to be difficult because not everyone is going to download about 30GB worth of maps. I will leave those maps installed on the second server, but they will be optional, meaning that you don't have to download it if you don't want to.

The game normally only has 25 playable maps (5 each for No Mercy, Death Toll, Dead Air, and Blood Harvest, 2 for Crash Course, and 3 for The Sacrifice). I'm sure you'd like to see something new. So I'm going to do something different. It will be much easier, more interesting and a lot more fun. I am making a pack for the server (it's only a few GB) that contains Campaigns, Maps, skins, and models. If you like playing L4D as much as I do, you will LOVE this pack because you'll get to see things that you probably would have never seen before. And as far as I know, no one has ever done this for L4D1 on a server, so I'll be the first.

The pack is not ready yet, but I will post here when it is ready (hopefully next month). In the mean time, you can check the server page by clicking here and discuss here what you think about this pack. Let your voice be heard and let us know what you think of the pack.

Originalmente, quería que los servidores para campañas personalizadas solamente. Pero esto ha resultado ser difícil, porque no todo el mundo va a descargar sobre la pena de 30GB de mapas. Dejaré esos mapas instalados en el segundo servidor, pero van a ser opcionales, significa que no tiene que descargarlo si no lo desean.

Si te gusta jugar L4D tanto como yo, te encantará este paquete porque vas a llegar a ver cosas que probablemente nunca han visto antes.:D Y hasta donde yo sé, nadie ha hecho esto para L4D1 en un servidor, así que voy a ser el primero.

El paquete no está listo todavía, pero voy a publicar aquí cuando esté listo (espero que el próximo mes). Por el momento, pueden leer la página del servidor y discutir aquí lo que piensas acerca de este paquete. Deja que tu voz sea escuchada y háganos saber lo que piensa de esta idea.

Hmmm, I'm not sure how yet but it seems even if you don't have the custom models installed you 'll still be able to join. Right now the second server has the special infected from L4D2 and it worked even though I don't have it installed on my PC. That's not supposed to be, but hey that's a good thing.

Try connecting to the second server guys and tell me if you are able to play and if you are able to see the custom models.

your right i could join and alyce too but we couldnt see the skins only error signs as special infected

yeah only those with the model pack installed can see them, but others can still join the game (I thought they wouldn't be able to, but they can).

The people making skin mods for L4D2 must be OBSESSED with My Little Pony. There are so many mods based on My Little Pony that it's scary. They have characters, guns, and even cars with My Little Pony on it. Should I bother to include those?

And yeah, for those of you that didn't know, most of these mods I'm using were made for L4D2. I'm porting them to L4D1, which is why the server pack is not complete yet, but it will be soon

There are over 50+ different Bills, over 100+ different Zoeys, about 60+ different Francis', and close to a 50+ different Louis', and not to mention the characters from other games.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the server pack. I may finish it this week (definitly by next week). But there's a few characters I'm not sure where they are from.

The girl's name is Korin and the guy's name is Outlaw, but I don't have a clue where they are from. Does anyone know where these characters are from?





Estoy poniendo los toques finales en el paquete del servidor. Puedo terminarlo esta semana (sin duda la próxima semana). Pero hay algunos personajes que no estoy seguro de dónde son.

El nombre de la chica es Korin y el hombre es Outlaw, pero no tengo ni idea de dónde son. ¿Alguien sabe de donde son estos personajes?

its Korin from half life the girl idk thats what a girl told me XD and the guy myght be from the game read dead redemption or something like that .. XD

Oh I see, she's a custom character made for half life (based on Dead or Alive from what I just read) that was ported over to L4D.

And yeah, Outlaw seems to be from Red Dead Redemption .

The server pack is becoming larger than I originally planned it to be. I may have to split it into 2 parts, and make one part for each server. Maybe that would be best, and make each server unique instead of having two that are the same. What do you guys think?

El paquete del servidor está haciendo más grande de lo que yo había previsto que fuera. Voy a tener que dividirlo en dos partes, y hacer una parte para cada servidor. Tal vez que sería mejor, y hacer que cada servidor único en lugar de tener dos que son el mismo. ¿Qué piensan ustedes?
