Hi, I'm an admin with the SnR server, we have a player who keeps saying his score is not being backed up, I see it is but I'm not 100% sure how it calculates peoples scores, can anyone explain in more detail how it works, Thanks, Jw (SnR)

This is how it works in terms of queries and in a general coding perspective;

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Server_queries

Once you use a nickname, the player history is stored - re-using it, the player statistical data will propagate.

If you make any changes to that nickname, player history will not propagate on the previously used name.

This is as simple as it sounds and it's rather intuitive than complex.

There are notable issues with certain characters; alt codes.

If you can post a link to the player's nickname on the server and also clarify the EXACT name that he / she is using; then we can try and see what's wrong.

Those are two different names.

Everything seems to be working fine;

https://www.gametracker.com/player/%5BSnR%5DAL_D-Res/

Profile name within GameTracker has nothing to do with how it works.

You cannot merge statistics - just making that clear.

Some things to bear in mind.

(1) GameTracker is not a live scanner; it takes time to update statistics.

(2) Only servers where the player has scored 250 points and played at least 2 hours will be displayed.
