First I just want to say I like a lot of bots on my server sometimes when the maps are big. I have a OzDM server registered at gametracker

but I have kept it deranked for a long time because I could not get JK_Botti to show as bots. After many hours I had gotten JK_BOTTI to work on my server and spawn into maps correctly but until recently I hadn't discovered how to get gametracker to show them as bots and not as players. I would like to re rank this server but I do not want to get my ip banned. So if an admin could please answer these questions when they find the time or if they could just have a look at my server and scan it or whatever and let me know if my server is breaking any game tracker policy or rule.


1.Am I allowed to ping fake my bots? The bots do register as bots on my gametracker server website when they are ping faked under the current map image where it says current players and then list number of bots. I should say that i noticed that on the online players section that not all the bots have the BOT tag beside their name but that they do show as bots under the map image. The bots are added periodically as each map progresses until they reach 10. Each map starts with only 3. Small maps just have 3. As of this posting I have ping faker turned off.

2. Am I allowed dproto on my server with the correct settings that does not allow fake players but does allow non steam players to connect.

I hope I made this clear enough but if not I would be happy to continue to explain. I have made some enemies from other server owners whom are also members of gametracker and I feel you have gotten multiple reports of my server. If I am in the wrong then I will leave my server deranked you will not hear another word from me.

1. In principle there should be no issues with your bots providing they do not add to the player count.
It would of course be much better if all bots displayed the BOT tag. It is then very clear to anyone checking your server page.

2. As I understand it, it is improper use of dproto that is frowned upon.
'Improper use' meaning anything that allows the server to break our ranking eligibility rules.

You should not have any issues with rank providing, as stated above, your bots do not add to the player count.
