A couple days ago I found that my Dayz mod server's gametracker banner changed from Dayz mod to Arma 2 so I changed it back. Now it's changed back to Arma 2 again. I have claimed the server and am able to manage it. No one else has access to my account. Why would this be happening?

Have you recently updated your server?
We have an automated process that auto-corrects server game types based on server scan data. Upon manual rescan a few minutes ago, your server is now correctly reporting "gametype" = "DAYZ" and should be automatically detected as such. You can see the extended data for your server here. http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/192.99.16.163:2332/server_variables/ If you have not recently updated your server, or if the problem persists, its possible this a bug. Please follow up in this thread if that's the case. |

So, it looks like when an Arma2/Dayz mod server restarts, until a player joins, the server is reporting that its an Arma2 server. That explains the sporadic nature of the game type switches.
Adjustments have been made to the game detection scripts to compensate. Hopefully this is fixed for good - please follow up in this thread if it happens again. |
