Since I have created an own server I get the following error when I want to play a server: ''Waiting for response of Master Server''.
I've also contact Activision about this, but they didn't know what to do.
I hope someone can help me. I cannot play on my own server and not on someone else his/her server.

Locate your server config file, make sure you have the address for the master server to authenticate your cd key mine looks like this

set sv_master1 "cod4master.activision.com"
set sv_gamespy "1"

you will need this somewhere within your main server config file.

this is just the 2 lines for authentication, the server.cfg file contains much more info on some mods i run its been called config.cfg and the config file sits in the mod folder if running a modded server

This could be a firewall issue on your router check that you have it configured correctly
