Yes, thank you, I see the list of reasons here. Fake players directly influence on the rank of the server and you should fight with it to keep fair ranking.
However, "slowhacking" is also an important problem. As the result of slowhacking, some servers receive more players then others. Just imagine that one e.g. Romanian server has 100% fair rank and is full of players 32/32, but you don't know and never know the fact that only 10% of players are regular players of this server, other were forced to connect to this server using redirects or "autoconnect" (automatic connection upon the game start) that appeared after slowhacking. This is a philosophical question if the rank of such server is fair or not.
Of course, none of that fake servers used for redirection is listed in GT, they are receiving players from other sources, but there are servers that are placing autoconnect to every connected player or doing other stuff. There are solutions how to detect such activities.
Yes, you have no own masterserver, like e.g. Setti had, but Setti is dead now just because of 2 reasons - slowhacking and inaction of the administration and it's not so important for you, so just returning to that philosophical question which kinds of promotion are fair and which are not...

Gametracker is not the world wide online game police.

If i remember correctly is not 'legal' to use slowhack according to valve, i don't know about everyone but in my case if i see i get redirected to a server i don't play i just disconnect, find the source of the problem and remove it.

Yes, it is forbidden everywhere. You can find the source, I can find, but most of players are not able to do it, half of them will delete CS and download one more CS from random website searched in Google, another half will stay playing with broken CS, joining some hacker's server
Sorry for offtop

I run a popular cs 1.6 community and we have been blacklisted on this site for fake players a while back. All we have is 1000's of regulars that have been playing with me since 1999-now. So imagine that, makes absolutely no sense.

yes, we need more Administrators.
Some time ago, I said that I could contribute but they ignored me.

The best solution I think it would be accepting the new servers before ranking them.

The best way to contribute is by legitimately reporting servers.

That'd be a tedious process on its own, unless there's an automated system to do this.

Every day that I connect, I am reporting more than 40 servers.
But 20% of the server reports, they don't derank or ban...

Every day accumulates more and more fake servers

Not so tedious. It will be only at CS 1.6 servers.
How many new legally CS 1.6 servers are added on gametracker nowadays?

Probably a few
