Can you see a servers list in multiplayer? I don't. Have boxed 3cd version.

Hate to necro this post but it appears to be working again. My servers started again sending heartbeats in May.

In my case it started working again after formatting and reinstalling Doom 3 when my HDD failed. But I never got lucky finding my own server on the list.

However other people seem to have no trouble finding and joining it.

This is because your router must support hairpin NAT in order to see your own server from the local network. Some routers don't support that.

Basically, in a nutshell, hairpin NAT means you have cut-through NAT that allows clients on the local network to connect to the WAN interface's IP on ports that are forwarded through.

It's quite an odd issue...I moved recently to another country and after installing Doom on another computer fresh drive, now the server is visible, as well as few others more that weren't before.

Your advice was good anyway, but I should mention that this server is not hosted locally, i rent a VPS from where lots of games are running. And ping is excellent from anywhere in Europe. Thanks.
