hi there im playing hl2dm on my laptop windows 7 64bit and im just getting some fps lag. i get about only 30 fps but sometimes im able to reach 100 with fps_max 100 if i look to the sky or floor. Does anyone know a way to get + fps or a fps config? Thanks!

Has it always ran like that? what video card are you using? Are you using the latest drivers? HL2DM is pretty old so it shouldn't take much to run it properly. fps_max should be set to '0', or unlimited: fps_max 0

Maybe try a complete uninstall/re-install of your video card drivers. FPS response will also depend on the server configuration as well. Try out Scorps KBM sometime. 66.151.244.149:27015

At 3.3Ghz when all 4 cores work it will have a hard time to get 60+ FPS in some games,there is nothing you can do about that,you need those clocks to get good FPS.

At 3.3Ghz when all 4 cores work it will have a hard time to get 60+ FPS in some games,there is nothing you can do about that,you need those clocks to get good FPS.

Source engine games are known to be CPU intensive, and from that you can extrapolate that most processors end up being the bottleneck, when your GPU isn't.

A 3.3Ghz OC'd CPU will give you above 60 FPS, that is, if vertical sync isn't forced (for a display with a 60 Ghz monitor).

i get 145 not in halo, and that is with my servers up but then i have a good PC. shame my web speed lets my clan down.:D

I do agree with @warisali that at 3.3gz it becomes hard but what I can suggest and what I did is that I stopped all the background activities from the task manager and also overclocked my PC. This is how I got 60+ FPS, and what you can do is upgrade your PC. Simple.

I would agree with robin3sk about only running the game and no other programs.

I can also suggest lowering your graphics, and setting launch options for CPU priority:

-high -threads 4 (Assuming you have a 4 core CPU)


I play CS:GO but I assume these launch options should work with HL2DM too.
