I need to try this mod: http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=572646

It is the whole Unreal 1 + Return to NaPali as a mod for UT2004!
Maybe I'll find some time to finish at least that one.

With some changes, sometimes slight sometimes important, compared to the original(s), which is not necessarily a bad thing.

I'd still recommend trying Unreal 1 with the oldunreal patch to whoever want to give a try to the original Unreal experience for the first time.

For those who already played the original, the UT2004 mod is great to relive the game, with a few surprises.

I somehow feel not good in Alpha Three, so I stopped it. Maybe I'll continue Out of Hell later.

Stopped there after I scared myself through the third level just to get stuck behind some furniture after I cleared the whole map from enemies. -.-

Alpha three: Well, if you want, I can tell what happens in Project: Alpha three, just tell me where you bored it and I can tell the story after that =)

But you could give Conflict: Alpha three a try, it's good! By the way it has nothing to do with the first one, except that they are on the same planet =P Conflict gives the atmosphere of a war, sorry for spoiler but there are AVRiLs raining down the sky (as bombs. they can kill you easily =P). If you know, once I'll ask how to make projectile "factories" in UED, but only when I want to make one. Oh, and finally, it's short.

Out of Hell: Bad luck =( But if you made a save on that map then be happy that you don't have to try it all again =) Also, lol at the expression "scared myself through".

By the way last weekend I downloaded a maybe rather famous mod: Alien Swarm. It's a total conversion, the camera is "above the roof" looking down, you control more than one characters, killing aliens, doing missions, there are 4 custom campaigns plus 2 original, it's a bit difficult in my opinion even on easy difficulty, though.

Again, about "Unreal 1 game", it's pretty good, just a bit boring for me currently because I recently played out Unreal you know (in October I think). But that doesn't mean I'm gonna play it very rarely...

Did I say boring??? Well, not at all... it's kinda different than the original Unreal, and gives a bit of different feeling with the remixes, oh, and I'm getting weapons quickly after eachother, not like in the original. The creator knew how not to make it boring

So you should definitely try playing out the original first...

Damn. Crusha, do you remember when I had a problem with a map? I was at the end of a map and the exit was underwater, and the next map (Outpost 3J) couldn't load. You gave me your map file and that fixed it. By the way that was also on a Sunday =).

Well, now same map but different problem.

Sorry but I have to tell some spoilers in order to describe the problem.

On the end of Outpost 3J, there should be a teleporter which takes me to the next map (Velora Pass), but .:.: edited it and there's a hangar now. There's a button, which "activates the teleporter" (O.o???), but when I press it, it takes me to the start of the level. But there, if I jump then I fall really slowly and it's a long tunnel so I would drown. I activated fly cheat and flew back to the end of the map. The hangar's gate was open this time, and on a little spaceship, there was green light... I pressed the button again and again but nothing. I jumped on top of the little spaceship and was taken to the beginning of the map again bah -.-'
I flew to the hangar again, and saw that the ship is not there anymore, and there's no way to the next level :/ I walked towards the gate and got a message something like this: You can't enter the next level because it's locked. =/

Later I checked the map in editor. I found nothing strange at the start of the level, and nothing should have taken me there...
Then I checked the end. Some triggers... Some interpolation points... The ship was a mover of course, I checked its keys and got and idea about what should happen:

The gate opens so that the ship could fly out.
The ship should start emitting smoke and should fly out of the hangar and down to Na Pali's surface (because this is on a floating island =P like in Avatar if you saw it) and this all should happen like an intro (or outro).

Wonder what .:.: messed up...

If necessary, I'll post this problem on epic forums in this mod's topic, but currently I'm "waiting" to be activated

Well, I don't think that I can do much for you, since we have the same version.

Maybe just restart the whole map by selecting it from the menu and not using a savegame?
