Fine, mate. You did a great job with the new Hammerhead, Peg finally can love it (I'm sure he would like to). The miniguns are maybe to weak, I've tickled one guy on Nevermore 10 sec and haven't even break his shield.

By the way, SDG-ONS05 is on more maps than KR-Serenity. It's the dominating music on the server.

The Hammer is fine, but I don't agree with the lowered health points from 900 to 700. It's a massive flying artillery, vulnerable to air or Shock rifle attacks.

Don't worry, I raised it's health to 800 in the new version. And will try to make it more stable when begin hit by Shock Rifle so that you are not a sitting duck.

Damage of minigun and spread has been increased already, now you can kill a freshly spawned enemy within one second if you aim well and have the luck to have most of your shots hitting.

i agree that the hammer's weakness is shock, but the better vehicle against is still the centaur

and now when we use minigun maybe we will do some frags

I have an Idea: What about a second seat for the Miniguns ?

Nah, the Hammer is fine as it is. I want to keep it original. I think I might release it this evening.

I am currently still in holidays until tomorrow, but _N_, the original author of StarReach wants to take a look at my changes (they are what he also wanted to do with the map) and is very likely to give me the permission for the edits, so this is an officially edited map now.

Just will apply some last changes and then send him the map tomorrow for a review. Then you can get the new and probably final version.


And before starting to replace the Hammer in every map, I first wanted to finish the tool set (I know, I say that for months now, but it's almost done) so that more things can be done in the new maps.
I will also put Wormbo's new Nodes and ForcedDirVolumes in the maps then.

The Nodes will bring us the ONS revolution (!!!) and the ForcedDirVolumes work the same way as those in UT3: They are placed at the borders of a map and will push players and vehicles back with an invisible force rather than letting them crash into an invisible wall.

And some maps could play fine with super vehicles tracked on the radar, that's why I wanted to finish my tool set first.

Here's the new version, I named it Edit6 because version 5 was something in between without Wormbo's stuff, so just keep it at 6 please so that I don't need to download it from the server again myself.

The file contains all necessary files, that's why it's 13 MB zipped.


So, what changed:
-Changed soundtrack to the one Foibos suggested.
-Made the skybox wider. Just felt it would be nice this way for the Hammerhead.
-Vastly improved botpaths. They no longer drive off cliffs or leave vehicles unlocked. And they know some short cuts now and make proper use of the Hammerhead.
-Replaced Nodes with SpecialNodes. They have many advantages but only a few are active in this map. However, you will notice the difference.
-Added ForcedDirVolumes to the borders of the map. You can't crash into the walls of the skybox with the Hammerhead anymore.


There were some errors in the log because of Wormbo's special nodes, but he said those errors didn't occur with the .u-filed version of his actors, so he's not going to fix it. Anyway, they are just a few lines in a whole match and you won't notice anything ingame, so don't worry about it anymore.
