I put the room between the toxic and turret room to give ppl a chance to get to the enemy core before they die.... got the idea from those maps:
(preferred) version a: Heal-POD seen in DM-TDB-HealPod, this thing looks a column (pillar) made out of green light... when you enter, you get like 5healthpoints every second or so. also in there could be a doubledamage-pickup or anything you like. now where it gets interesting: in the same room there is a switch on the floor (actually in the map there are 4, 1 or 2 should be enough for our room).. once you step on it, everything in the Pod gets stomped! see screenshots below version b: Healing Pool seen in DM-AnataWa-SE-Beta1 (a GREAT map by the way) this is simply a pool that contains water that heals you - no traps here. yet =P by the way on this map there is also a VERY cool looking floating ball that mirrors the room with a little transparent cubicle on top... once you jump through the cubicle, it triggers the ball which is actually an ion ball and emittes a powerful ion shock wave... maybe this can be useful for our map or another map - but in any case (as well as on top) you should try to contact the author first before you copy it... ADDITION: Gas Chamber this just rose up in my mind... you know those maps where there is a chamber you can get into with thick glass in it? outside of the chamber there is a switch, when someone triggers it --> death for those inside the chamber... the chamber doesnt have to be big - just put a redeemer or cgv or whatever inside there so there is a certain risk involved (you have to kill enemies that camp the switch before) but it rewards you with a powerful weapon. just put this into a corner of the room, in the rest of the room there is the battle for the healing thing (whichever you choose) ohhh, if you can't find the maps for the download, send me a pm and I'll provide you with'em vk. screenshots: version a: healing pod ![]() version b: healing pool ![]() ![]() |

Interesting, this helps me alot.

All ideas are nice. But exept for the sentries. I don't know if u play a lot on the rmd thom, but their weapons (espacially sentries) are overpowerful : they are automatic and aren't destroyed after player's death. It's the same for other sentries u can see in assault mode, overpowerful.

I see 2 major things in the chat logs.
People who are complaining entire map how bad its is, so that the other people shut their mounth because their is no place left to say what they are thinking of the map. When there are no complainings at all, then people feel, oh i can tell what i think now in positive way. And i, from the side, can only say to the people who are complaining. As i mentioned before this is an alpha version and only to see is the gameplay works on this cubes. Not about how well it is optimized or how advanced the geometery is. But, i will see this commenting on a positive/building way forward to the beta/real version wich is completely different and come close to the movie. By now the real map is already 1001% different from what u see now. |

![]() Need some idea's Toxic room: 95% done. -Toxic fog (but doesnt affect ur health) -Green toxic pool/waste when u stepp in that u lose 10hp/sec Healing pool: 95% done. - Big pool that heals u - Trigger to smash players when they are under it. Instant die. - Special movers and water cubes. Lo-Grav 80% - Center sphere with the node in it. - Black hole -> Sucking Dark room 95% - Dark with a chess-floor. - ... Water room: Idea's: 95% Filled Cubes inside the water with air. Smashing "pins" when triggered that kills u Laser room: Movable lasers? Is this possible? That kills u imediatly. |

I don't really see how could u put a laser. But u could put a sentry from as-mothership and set a low damage.
For water rool, I wonder how u will do coz since the door is low but the room should be full of water : it means that once u enter in the room u enter in water (don't know if it's easy to understand me. Another idea (in order to be more realistic) could be to create a glass cube in the room and a teleporter in front of doors and in this glass cube. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
