The crashes you posted are garbage collection crashes, which are not debugable from logs alone and usually are hard to reproduce reliably. They are not necessarily related to balancing. Thing is, they only happen during garbage collection, which in turn is part of the reset between rounds. Rebalancing obviously occurs at the first round restart, so you never know if it would have crashed without rebalancing as well.
