like the others i totally agree with pegasus and i strongly vote for those ONSPlus features crusha mentioned above!


then again, "we" should also integrate negative points, let's say for players who take mino/tanks in general and destroy them by theirselves
or for players who wait like 3 minutes for a tank or redeemer to respawn and not helping their team with it....
1 point for every minute or sth like that?! maybe 2...
of course they must be moving otherwise idlers or ppl who need to go to the bathroom quickly would have the same penalty...

(examples: SKOL*, ZumZum*, Lemov.*, Alex*, Warlok*, Fasty*, and many others)
there are some urban legends:
- the * is the mark of the warriors who played on a specific ancient server, now gone.
- the * shows that the player is a friend with the other *-marked ones.

Is that really your question? I think you know the answer already…

You don't really need to play on ZipCity, it's enough if someone who played there allows you to use the star, if he think you're worth it.



Another thing that surprises me is, that Foibos is, even if he doesn't play often, quite good. Without all that training…

On the other hand he is something like a special objective to me, if he plays.

Foibos - perfect admin Takes care of server, maps, forum. Often on-line and plays good

crusha, i didn't know the truth about the * =) i heared of zipcity only once :\ never played on it. it is the ex techcom? or what?! all it's players came to play here?

I also only heard about it, was before my time.


I asked Zum once what was it all about with the stars and he was surprised that nobody had offerd me yet the membership of the *.

But I wouldn't take it, because a new nick would also mean a loss of all my stats I achieved until now.

Would u like to know a little story about ZipCity and the * ? ^^...

Well,... I will start telling the story of ZipCity, that was in my opinion the best ONS server whith good maps and ping before techcom, and i think i never have seen its Admin =\, and was there that i started to play UT2004 Online! and learned all skills i have today. Foibos played there as a normal player, i remember him, he had good skills and strategy, and was near the best players. I made many friends there too, like Warlock, Dutchvale, Casanova =), but one certain day the server died, went offline and dont comeback anymore. Then we stayed just whith bad servers to play =( ,just demo map servers etc. Untill Techcom arrived, but whith another name i dont remamber, that was just the prototype of techcom, it had just some strange maps, a little higher ping, no mods, nothing. I met some of my ZipCity friends there and asked what happend, Dutchvale told me he send an email to Zipcity Admin and he said that the server run out of money and was shutdown, something like that, i dont know if its true but that was what he said to me. So this Techcom prototipe was the best thing we had, and we started to play there everyday. One certain day i saw my friend Warlock whith the nick changed to Warlock* , i ansked why, and he said me that he had a problem whith his nick or something like that and changed the nick. Another day i saw Casanova with the star in the name ( Casanova* ), He told me that the star was a sign of Friendship whith Warlock*, then i putted the star in my nick too, as a friend and because i would like to be part of a clan ingame of UT2004! This was the beguining of a clan of friends!!! We started to as arround for our friends to join us putting the star ( * ), we had no ranking list so there was no problems =P. But now is a problem because the ranking list =\, lol.
I made friendship whith foibos there in the Techcom prototipe, i was angry because that was a shit server, then Foibos told me he was the admin and would start to repairing it...!!!
And today we have the mighty Techcom

Yes Warlock* started the fellowship ( whithout knowing ^^ )

U had a good idea Hunt = putting the star only in ex ZipCity players, but i think its hard to organize that =\. Anyway the star have another meaning ( Friendship ), so yes, there are non zipcity players bearing it.
And i dont remember exatly who played in the ex ZipCity, that was 2 years ago... sory =P
