I see no future for the server as it is, that's why I'd like to move it into the LDG group. The future is a question. ![]() Btw., I don't believe there is 250 players around.

And what is the point of moving it to LDG now? Because of their hardware? Because of their location? Because you think people would be more likely to play on a server that's named #5 in a group of servers I personally nevered played on yet, except for some disappointing Assault Races?
Maybe something needs to be done, but help me understand what's the point of this server move now. ![]() |

ad 2) The delay at the beginning is the most important. In example on CEONSS when the map is loaded, you have 10 or 20 seconds and it starts. On Techcom its waiting and waiting and waiting...boring.
ad 3) I would give it a try, at least. And also, it would be good to resolve the broken redirect links once and forever. Today in the morning I had to load map four times to make it work. And newbies would probably loose patience and join other server instead of trying again... |

Old server is too old, and for new server there are no money (not enough). And also why to build new server for game, which will be here for one or two years and then it will die ? There are less and less players around... Thats why I offered my server, because I dont need any money for hosting the game there and the server is doing 10 - 20% load during whole day (except nights)...and it could stay in CZ, 30km from Germany, where most players are... |

Would be helpful to know where most of TC's players connect from. Here in the forum do we have a mix of western Europe and eastern europe, but that doesn't really tell where the majority comes from.

Several notes towards LDG, the server is located in Switzerland.
For those who doesn't know, I'm a tech admin of all LDG servers, and directly maintain server #1. In fact server numbers are just numbers (depending on creation date), for instance our server #2 is just "arse around" server, it's not related to "priority" anyhow (I might remove the numbers from the names). There are #3 admin teams on LDG (1 for #1 - #3, another for server #4 and another one ONS). There is no fee for the server (as LDG server still has capacity), and aside from technical related issues, the only requirement from us was to rebrand it. LDG has much better connection and can supply fast DL on map change. And there is no real need to keep the server in CZ, is there? |

Good decision to start over again, techcom is bleeding to death, mostly because of the connection. Not because of the waiting time, 60 seconds is oke, even a bit to quick in my opinion.
Now we can merge TC and LDG together is a good strategy in these days where almost no strategy works. read: population on ut04. What is the problem guys, do u realy want to settle here on a already dead TC? -If 2 great servers can melt together with each of there specialties, isn't that great? Share all knowledge? -If we stick to Techcom as it is now, we all die. Face the truth. Only 1 thing is the forum... Btw; Crusha, u have so many great idea's like your map rating system. But why does it need to take so long in these already last days of glory? Damn, i miss the good old days on TC.
